Yoga

Yin yoga amplifies chi energy and reduces nervous energy, hence the calm feeling after a yin practice.

Yin yoga is a brilliant doorway into a meditation practice. It’s for EVERYONE.

I am going to be honest and say I wasn’t a fan of this practice at 1st. I was constantly doing fast flow & yang style yoga. Sometimes we practice what we like, not what we need. The benefits I felt after a few sessions are amazing. I now practice both styles. I Love it now & can’t be without this practice.

Some participants will find this practice challenging due to the long duration of the pose. Yin yoga allows us to work the deeper tissue of our ligaments, joints, deep fascial networks, and even our bones. All of our tissues are important & need to be exercised so that we can achieve optimal health.

I generally end the practice with Yoga Nidra. During this practice, one appears to be asleep but the consciousness is functioning at a deeper level of awareness. A 30-minute yoga Nidra can be equivalent to 3-4 hours of deep sleep.

Hatha Yoga

Most forms of yoga in the west can be classified as Hatha Yoga. It simply refers to the physical practice of yoga. It can be slightly slower in pace. The intention is to unify the mind, body & soul.

Hatha is a Sanskrit word meaning, willful, forceful. This represents the physical practice. It can also be known as the yoga of balance, sun (ha) and moon (tha).

This form of yoga practice is a great way to settle into meditation. It can help prepare the mind & body to be more anchored into stillness, & peace.

The best way to get to start yoga is to roll out the mat and move. You won’t be sorry. Yoga can create great communities. Yoga helps improve health and happiness.

I hope to see and connect with you on the mat soon.

Fit Flow Yoga

This style of yoga can be fast-paced, there is a lot of emphasis on body alignment.

In some classes, there can be advanced postures, there will always be options. It is important as in all styles of yoga that you listen to your body. Work and met yourself with where you are at in your yoga practice.

You can burn calories and listen to some upbeat music as you flow, release and bend. Always work with your breath in this style of yoga. Your breath is your life force, prana energy. If it becomes labored pull back.

The main thing in all yoga classes with me, is that you have fun, work somewhat hard and find balance. As always the best part is savasana pose at the end.

Let’s get strong physically and mentally strong together.
