Description
As the earth begins to stir beneath the quiet stillness of winter, we gather to honour Imbolc—the Celtic festival of early spring and the return of the light. This sacred day invites us to softly awaken, shed the heaviness of winter, and step gently into a new cycle of clarity, renewal, and inspiration.
Join us in the Bhakti Healing yurt, nestled near the coastline of Roney Point, where the warmth of community, ceremony, and nature weaves together a deeply nurturing experience.
We will open our ceremony with Keith’s Cacao.
At Bhakti Healing, we always begin with cacao because it is such a beautiful way to soften into the space and honour the beginning of a retreat. Cacao opens the heart, gently regulates the nervous system, and guides us into a deep meditative state with ease. It meets each person exactly where they are.
After ceremony, a light snack will be provided by our chef of the day. All of our food is wholesome, nutritionally dense, and intentionally grounding — the perfect way to anchor the energy after cacao.
When we are ready, we move down into the yurt for a soft, slow, and fluid practice. Think of it as a gentle yin–yang. February is the month we gradually awakening the body through soft somatic movement. This supports the nervous system, re-builds energy, and invites a gentle awakening as we move toward early spring.
The yoga practice is suitable for absolutely everybody. There are always options offered throughout the session so you can support your body and meet yourself exactly where you are in your practice.
After yoga, we return to the house for lunch.
If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know in advance — our chef will do their best to meet your needs.
Following lunch, we gather once again in the yurt where Audrey will guide you on a deeply restorative sound healing journey.
After the sound bath, we move into the wood-fired sauna, allowing the heat, steam, and stillness to support the release of anything the body is ready to let go of.
Throughout the day, we will be working with the energy of Goddess Brigid, who is deeply associated with Imbolc and the month of February. We will explore the symbolism of her cross, the return of light, and the gentle, hopeful stirrings of spring — with a few beautiful surprises woven into the experience.
We would be honoured to welcome you to Bhakti Healing Yurt at Barton.
Bhakti means pure devotion, and that is exactly what we pour into every ceremony, ritual, and retreat we create.
We look forward to gathering with you this February.
Namaste.
